NFL Trade Rumors: Predicting NFL Trades that Could Happen
By Jon Dove
Isaiah Crowell, Cleveland Browns
Trade: Washington Redskins
Other Fits: Indianapolis Colts
The Washington Redskins running game has really struggled since Rob Kelley went down with an injury. Their running attack is basically getting the ball into the hands of Chris Thompson in the passing game. Kelley is expected back this week, but there’s no telling how effective he will be or if he can stay healthy.
Isaiah Crowell has been a major disappointment for the Cleveland Browns. Expectations were high based on how he finished last year and the improvements to the offensive line. However, it’s been slow going and frustration is starting to show.

Moving Crowell to the Redskins would be a solid move by both teams. It would provide the Redskins with a talented player behind Rob Kelley. The Browns could get a draft pick while getting more touches for Duke Johnson.
Crowell’s pending free agency also plays a role in this trade. The Redskins would have time to decide if they want to offer him a long term deal. Cleveland is unlikely to pay Crowell big money based on his performance this season.
The Indianapolis Colts are another team in the market for a running back. Crowell would take some pressure off of Frank Gore.
