This trade has been a very popular topic on social media. There are many arm-chair general managers, like myself, who see this as a perfect fit. The Jacksonville Jaguars have a Super Bowl caliber defense, but the struggles of Blake Bortles make this in inconsistent team.

Jacksonville’s offense doesn’t lack for talent as they have Leonard Fournette at running back and solid receiving options. Their offensive line has been a pleasant surprise which has really put the spotlight on Bortles as the only weak link.
The New York Giants playoff hopes are already out the window. This team is on pace to land a top-5 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. It’s possible they will be in position to land one of the highly coveted quarterback prospects eligible for this draft.
Eli Manning is obviously on the backend of his career and New York needs to start planning for the future. That plan should include calling the Jaguars seeing if they are interested in the veteran quarterback.
Manning would be a major upgrade over Bortles while also brining playoff/Super Bowl experience. Let’s not forget the Tom Coughlin connection which makes this trade slightly more possible.
