17. Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions need to come off their bye week strong in order to get solid footing in the playoff race. They have a great opportunity to seize control of the NFC North with Aaron Rodgers out with a long-term injury.

18. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo continues to impress and surprise everyone. They are playing disciplined football which is led by their defense. However, Tyrod Taylor’s ability to protect the football while moving the offense has also been key.

19. New Orleans Saints

The Saints look like a different team now that they have established an effective ground attack. It also helps that the defense is playing much better.

20. Washington Redskins

Washington remains in the playoff hunt, but need to start winning games against better competition. This week’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles has set them back in the NFC East race.

Playoff Teams

21. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars would be considered one of the better teams in the league if they had a competent quarterback. Blake Bortles is barely keeping his head above water and could sink at any moment.

22. Atlanta Falcons

It’s really hard to look at the Atlanta Falcons and not see a team suffering from a Super Bowl hangover. They are running out of time to right the ship.

23. Oakland Raiders

Even after pulling off the win against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Raiders look like a team that could go in a few directions. They have the talent to be a playoff contender, but there is also some concerns present.

24. Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings need Sam Bradford to get back to full health and on the field. This team has the pieces needed to succeed if they can just get healthy.
