2018 NFL Mock Draft: Post Trade Deadline Update
By Jon Dove
9. New York Jets- Bradley Chubb, Edge, NC State
The Jets had a breakout performance as far as their pass rush is concerned last night against the Buffalo Bills. However, their pass rush has been a problem for a majority of the year. They only had 11 sacks prior to last night’s game.
Bradley Chubb has established himself as an effective pass rusher at the college level. He features a wide array of moves which help him keep the blockers off balance.
10. Cincinnati Bengals- Orlando Brown Jr, OT, Oklahoma
The Bengals found out the hard way that their offensive line picks from the past few years aren’t working out. They now need to reinvest in the position and especially at left tackle. Orlando Brown Jr. is a massive individual who has the talent to hold up at left tackle in the NFL.

11. Baltimore Ravens- Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M
Baltimore’s offense has been a major disappointment over the past few years. The issue is they have been unable to develop young pass catchers. Their recent receiving leaders have been veteran castoffs like Mike Wallace.
Christian Kirk is an explosive pass catcher who can work the underneath routes and stretch the field. He will work well with how Joe Flacco likes to operate.
12. Green Bay Packers- Connor Williams, OT, Texas
I’ve had the Green Bay Packers selecting an offensive tackle the past few mock drafts, but this time they land someone with a different caliber of talent. Connor Williams is a terrific athlete with the potential to be a franchise left tackle. He will help protect Aaron Rodgers immediately.
13. Tennessee Titans- Derwin James, S, Florida State
Derwin James is a versatile safety prospect who can play near the line of scrimmage and hold up in coverage. The Tennessee Titans need to continue to invest in talent on the defensive side of the ball. James will add another potential difference maker to the secondary.
14. Oakland Raiders- Derrick Nnadi, DT, Florida State
Oakland is suffering through a disappointing season, but still have plenty of talent on the roster. The defense could use some more help—especially at the defensive tackle spot. Derrick Nnadi is a physical player who can stuff the run while flashing some pass rushing potential.
15. Los Angeles Chargers- Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame
A lot of Notre Dame’s success this season can be placed at the feet of their offensive line. The leader of that group is left tackle Mike McGlinchey. He’s a technically sound player who also features the athleticism to protect the edge. The Chargers need a young left tackle capable of locking down the position for several years.
16. Denver Broncos- Dre’Mont Jones, DT, Ohio State
Dre’Mont Jones is a disruptive force who makes his living in the offensive backfield. He uses his combination of quickness and power to routinely penetrate the pocket. This type of play would add another element to the Broncos already strong defense.
