2018 NFL Draft Big Board: Early November Update
By Jon Dove
This is an adjusted 2018 NFL Draft Big Board as we draw closer to the end of the College Football Season.
The College Football season is entering crunch time which means more pressure for those players considering entering the 2018 NFL Draft. Below is my updated 2018 NFL Draft Big Board based on their performances thus far.
1. Saquan Barkley, RB, Penn State
Barkley is an explosive athlete who also has the size to grind out the tough yardage. However, it’s his versatility and big-play threat that makes him such a great prospect. Look for him to quickly become the focal point of his team’s offense.
2. Sam Darnold, QB, USC
Darnold is having a bit of an up and down year, but still remains a very strong prospect. He has the arm talent and poise evaluators look for in a quarterback. Darnold remains in the conversation to be the No. 1 overall pick.

3. Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama
There aren’t many players as versatile as Minkah Fitzpatrick. He has the skills to play either cornerback or safety at a high level in the NFL. His ability to create turnovers is also something all defensive coordinators covet.
4. Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
Rosen is having another strong year despite UCLA’s struggles as a team. He features a big arm, solid athleticism and good accuracy. His maturity has been called into question and will be tested during the draft process.
5. Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
Josh Allen has the most raw talent of all the quarterback prospects in this draft. He features elite size, arm strength and overall athleticism. The knock on him right now is that he can be a little erratic, but a lot of that has to do with him trying to do to much.
6. Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
Ridley features a long frame with the speed needed to stretch the field. He is aggressive with the ball in the air and is capable of winning in jump ball situations.
7. Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
The LSU running back runs with a great combination of power and speed. He runs with a purpose fighting for every yard available. Guice is also a solid pass catcher which only adds to his versatility.
8. Derrick Nnadi, DT, Florida State
Nnadi is a load up front and extremely hard to move off the line of scrimmage. He uses his combination of size and strength to anchor at the point of attack. Nnadi also features a strong initial jolt which helps him disrupt the timing of the offense.
