Tomorrow marks another year of the NFL Thanksgiving Day games which are always a joy to watch after devouring some turkey.

The NFL Thanksgiving Day games are a tradition that many people enjoy. I for one love starting my day with some football followed by a lot of delicious food. This year’s games are pretty solid and have plenty of playoff implications.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions

More from With the First Pick

The Lions need this win in order to keep their hopes of winning the NFC North alive. They head into this matchup struggling to beat the lowly Chicago Bears. Matthew Stafford and company will have a hard time moving the ball against Minnesota’s top-flight defense.

Detriot’s only hope might be if they are able to rattle Case Keenum. A turnover or two by Keenum could be the key to the Lions pulling off a victory.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys really struggling right now and are close to completely falling out of the playoff race. They are going to have a hard time righting the ship against the surging Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are playing excellent football and are looking to push the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC West title.

A key to this game will be the health of Tyron Smith who the Cowboys need to keep the Chargers pass rush at bey.

New York Giants vs. Washington Redskins

This game looks like the least entertaining on the Thanksgiving schedule. The New York Giants have been a complete mess this year and didn’t look great in their upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Washington has played well for most of the year, but have lost a few close games. This has put them on the outside looking in of the playoff race. They need to avoid an upset this week to the Giants if they hope to make a late run.
