This updated 2018 NFL Mock Draft features some movement with several players rising up the draft and others falling out of the 1st round.
As the NFL and College season comes to a close we head into the heart of the 2018 NFL Mock Draft season. This updated mock draft features a lot of adjustments based on prospects rising up my board and draft order change.
1. Cleveland Browns- Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
If both Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold enter the draft the Browns will have a difficult decision on their hands. However, it’s very obvious that they need to target one of these two signal callers. Rosen has the slight edge at the moment based on his play from this year.
2. New York Giants- Sam Darnold, QB, USC
The Giants are at the early stage of completely changing the organization. They will have a new General Manager, new Head Coach and very likely a new quarterback. Sam Darnold would be a great option as the long-term replacement for Eli Manning.
3. Indianapolis Colts- Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State

Indianapolis has enough roster needs that they could go best player available with this pick. Saquon Barkley is a special talent who would make life easier for Andrew Luck. The addition of Barkley would look a lot like the time the Colts added Edgerrin James to help Peyton Manning.
4. Chicago Bears- Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama
Chicago has needs all across the roster which means they could go several directions with this pick. A receiver like Calvin Ridley is absolutely in the mix, but Minkah Fitzpatrick is a better overall prospect and also fits a major need.
5. San Francisco 49ers- Derwin James, S, Florida State
Derwin James is a versatile defender who is only scratching the surface of his potential. He would serve as a leader in the 49ers defensive backfield while giving them a true playmaker.
6. Denver Broncos- Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
The Broncos are in a state of disarray thanks to issues at the quarterback position. It looks very likely that they use their 1st round pick to add another quarterback to the roster. The lack of development by Paxton Lynch is the main reason they need to target someone like Josh Allen here.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Bradley Chubb, Edge, NC State
Bradley Chubb is a very talented defender who has a well rounded game. He is someone who will get after the quarterback and support the run. His skill set gives him the potential to be a consistent double digit sack guy.
8. Cleveland Browns (via Hou)- Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
It’s a shame the Browns can’t count on Josh Gordon being available. He has already proven to be a No. 1 option, but his off-field problems mean the Browns need to prepare for the worst. Calvin Ridley would give Cleveland a major playmaker to develop alongside Josh Rosen.
