2018 NFL Mock Draft: Week 14 Edition
By Jon Dove
9. Miami Dolphins- Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
Personally, I don’t have Baker Mayfield rated as a 1st round quarterback. The buzz surrounding his draft status puts him in this range which is why he’s included in my mock draft. Miami seems like strong fit for Mayfield.
Adam Gase is a talented play caller who doesn’t mind a quarterback who is a little unconventional. Mayfield’s ability to avoid the rush will help the Dolphins issue along the offensive line.
10. Arizona Cardinals- Connor Williams, OT, Texas
This is going to be an important offseason for the Cardinals as they look to replace some aging pieces on the roster. They need to find a long-term replacement for Carson Palmer, but at this spot in the draft there isn’t a fit. Instead, Arizona can add a franchise left tackle like Connor Williams.
11. Washington Redskins- Vita Vea, NT, Washington
Vita Vea is a massive defensive tackle prospect who dominates the line of scrimmage. He’s not only capable of occupying blockers, but also getting some pressure in the backfield. Washington could use more talent along the defensive line.

12. Detroit Lions- Arden Key, Edge, LSU
Detroit’s pass rush has been an issue for most of the year and especially troublesome when Ziggy Ansah is out of the lineup. Arden Key is a high-upside prospect who flashes the ability to be a dominant pass rusher.
13. New York Jets- Orlando Brown Jr., OT, Oklahoma
The Jets have been a major surprise this year and along the way found some nice pieces to the puzzle. One area they need help is along the offensive line. Orlando Brown Jr. is a left tackle prospect who could hold down the job for the 10 years.
14. Cincinnati Bengals- Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame
Mike McGlinchey is a very steady player who operates with great technique. He is also a better athlete than most realize. McGlinchey is absolutely someone who could hold up at left tackle an area of need for the Bengals.
15. Buffalo Bills (via KC)- Derrick Nnadi, DT, Florida State
Buffalo’s run defense has been a major issues since the trade of Marcell Dareus. They could solve some of those issues by adding Derrick Nnandi. His combination of size, strength and leverage make him nearly impossible to move of f the line of scrimmage.
16. Buffalo Bills- Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama
Rashaan Evans is one of the better players available in this draft. He is a complete linebacker who stuffs the run, holds up in coverage and can get after the quarterback. Evans would instantly become the leader of an emerging Bills defense.
