The end of the NFL season is drawing near and we could have several NFL Head Coach Job Openings.

This offseason is going to feature several NFL Head Coach Job Openings. We are at the point of the season where it is time to start speculating what positions may come open. There are several obvious spots and a few that could surprise.

Most likely to make a change:

New York Giants

The Giants have already fired Ben McAdoo and started the head coaching search. Their situation is a little different because they are also looking for a new General Manager. Depending on their coaching target the vacant General Manager spot could be a benefit.

Chicago Bears

John Fox’s tenure with the Bears has been a complete mess. He wasn’t handed a team with a ton of talent, but this franchise showed no progress during his time at the helm. The penalties and mental mistakes speaks to a team that has toned out their Head Coach.

Indianapolis Colts

Chuck Pagano has survived much longer than most expected. The key with this position is that the Colts have a new General Manager in Chris Ballard who didn’t hire Pagano. Ballard now has a chance to bring in his own coach.

Cleveland Browns

Hue Jackson has 1 win over the past two years with the Browns. No matter how much respect Jackson has in the league his win-loss record is embarrassing. It’s possible that ownership makes a chance in the front office and keeps Jackson in place.

However, it’s equally likely that there’s a total house cleaning.

Cincinnati Bengals

Marvin Lewis had a long and successful run with the Cincinnati Bengals. However, it’s time to make a change and bring in a new voice. It’s possible that this locker room needs a new direction in order to get over the hump.

Could warrant a change:

Denver Broncos

The Broncos are a complete mess right now and have under-performed on both sides of the ball. It’s hard to see Vance Joseph getting fired after just one season, but the Broncos are in that type of tailspin.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers have been a major disappointment and it could cost Dirk Koetter his job. This move would be a tough sell based on the fact that the Buccaneers fired Lovie Smith just to keep Koetter on board.

Miami Dolphins

Adam Gase is a solid head coach and good offensive mind. However, the Dolphins have been a team with a lot of turmoil since he has taken over. It’s possible that management moves on from Gase in order to find a more stabilizing voice.

Kansas City Chiefs

Things have gotten ugly in Kansas City and it’s time to consider that Andy Reid is on the hot seat. Reid needs a few wins down the stretch in order to ensure he gets a few more years with the Chiefs.
