The Associated Press released their NFL All-Pro Team which featured a few interesting selections

Today, the Associated Press produced their NFL All-Pro team that highlights the very best players at each position. The release features a look at both the 1st and 2nd All-Pro team. This years group has several intriguing storylines.

The first thing that jumped out to me was the Philadelphia Eagles landing two offensive linemen on the 1st team. Both Lane Johnson and Travis Kelce played a major role in Philadelphia’s success. They were able to open running lanes and help protect Carson Wentz for much of the season.

It goes to show how strong offensive line plan can help a young quarterback. Another example of this is with Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams had Andrew Whitworth land on the 1st Team and Rodger Saffold on the 2nd group.

Los Angeles also had three special team players make the 1st team with Greg Zuerlein, Johnny Hekker and Pharoh Cooper. This shows the importance special teams has on the outcome of a season.

Alvin Kamara was the only rookie to make either roster landing a 2nd Team nod as a flex player. His versatility as a runner, pass catcher and return man has him in the running for offensive rookie of the year.

Kamara played a major role in the New Orleans Saints strong season. However, improved play on the defensive side was also a key factor. Cameron Jordan grabbed one of the defensive end spots on the 1st Team All-Pro team.

The Jacksonville Jaguars earned themselves a playoff appearance on the back of their strong defense. That unit landed four players on the two All-Pro teams with Calais Campbell, Jalen Ramsey, A.J. Bouye and Telvin Smith.
