The Buffalo Bills were surprised a lot of people this year and were even able to squeak into the playoffs. However, this team could look very different this  next year.

We should expect to see some major changes made to the Buffalo Bills roster in the offseason. The biggest move will likely come at quarterback as Buffalo moves on from Tyrod Taylor. This current regime hasn’t been big supporters of Taylor despite the team’s success.

The question will be whether the Bills choose to bring in a young quarterback in the draft or target a veteran free agent. This year’s free agent quarterback group features several legitimate starting options.

Buffalo could target someone like Kirk Cousins, Sam Bradford or potentially A.J. McCarron. There is also the outside chance they hand the job to Nate Peterman who saw some action this year.

Despite being a major part of the offensive game plan, the Bills could consider moving on from LeSean McCoy. His contract comes with nearly a $9 million cap hit and has an out after this season with roughly $5 million in dead money.

Buffalo needs to do some work at the wide receiver position. Their trade to acquire Kelvin Benjamin helps, but they need another proven playmaker. It’s possible they bring back Jordan Matthews but that isn’t a complete fix.

The Bills are likely to add some bulk on the defensive line. They need someone who can come in and control the line of scrimmage. Their run defense was one of the worst in the league down the stretch.

Buffalo will have options to address their needs. They are projected to have over $35 million in cap space and 8 overall 2018 NFL Draft picks. The Bills two 1st and 2nd round picks should allow them to bring in some top end talent.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott will remake this roster.
