2018 NFL Draft: Isaiah Wynn Scouting Report

Georgia’s Isaiah Wynn is a versatile 2018 NFL Draft offensive line prospect who could fit at multiple positions.
Isaiah Wynn is one of the more underrated 2018 NFL Draft prospects. He’s an offensive lineman who has experience facing top level competition at both the guard and left tackle position. Wynn has shown enough talent to potential play either position at the next level.
The biggest concern with his ability to play left tackle is his lack of length and overall build. He lacks great arm length and is thin through the hips. His overall build is something that needs work and should improve by working with an NFL nutritionist.
While Wynn lacks ideal measurements, he makes up for it with sound technique and an aggressive style of play. He is quick out of his stance and gains proper position. His quick feet allow him to protect the edge while his balance helps him change direction.

Wynn routinely looks to deliver a strong initial punch which helps him overcome his lack of arm length. He seems to understand that his ability to gain inside hands depends on his quickness and effort.
Despite his thin lower half, Wynn works to maintain leverage and a wide base to anchor after contact. It’s something that could be an issue at the next level with the bigger and more physical pass rushers. This is why it will be important for Wynn to continue to improve his lower-body strength.
Wynn is someone who really stands out as a run blocker. He routinely fires off the ball and looks to deliver a pop. His commitment to gaining inside hands and leverage help him generate a push off the line of scrimmage.
He is also a good athlete which gives him the ability to reach the 2nd level and make blocks on the move. The biggest take away when watching Wynn is that he may not look pretty, but this is someone who gets the job done.
It’ll be interesting to see how his lack of ideal measurables impact his draft stock. However, someone is going to get a steal by grabbing Wynn.
