Any team that finishes a season with zero wins will have a ton of team needs which is the situation for the Cleveland Browns.

The Cleveland Browns had a terrible year and have basically hit the reset button yet again. Their decision to bring in John Dorsey at General Manager will spark a lot of roster turnover. Dorsey has plenty of ammo to rebuild the roster including tons of draft picks and cap space.

Cleveland has been so bad for so long that this seems like a hopeless undertaking. However, there isn’t a franchise in the league with more options for improvement. The Browns own the No. 1 and No. 4 overall picks in the draft.

This will give them an opportunity to land two elite talents and potentially franchise changing players. The spoils don’t end there as they also have 3 picks in the second round where there will be plenty of talent to add.

Below are the top 3 needs for the Browns before we head into free agency:

1. Quarterback

This is the most obvious need for a franchise that has gone through a tone of quarterbacks over the years. This franchise just hasn’t done a good job evaluating the position and find themselves again searching for answers.

More from With the First Pick

Dorsey has a chance this year to finally right the ship, but his decision isn’t an easy one. The 2018 NFL Draft features several options at the top of the draft. Each of Josh Rosen, Josh Allen, Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield have intriguing skills.

However, they all come with question marks that make them some what of a risk. It’s possible that Dorsey decides to use his cap space to add a veteran starter like Alex Smith or Kirk Cousins. Either way this position needs to be addressed.

2. Cornerback

Jamar Taylor has done a good job turning his career around, but is nothing more than a solid starter. The Browns lack a No. 1 corner or someone capable of matching up against the opponents top target.

They could be in position to draft Alabama’s Minkah Fitzpatrick, but could also look to spend big in free agency. This a position where the Browns could realistically add multiple players in the offseason.

3. Wide Receiver

There is no denying that Josh Gordon has elite talent and is a game changer. However, there is also no denying that he is a major wildcard. The Browns can’t count on him being on the field which creates a hole at the position.

Cleveland’s other top receiver, Corey Coleman, has dealt with injury problems and also has unreliable availability.

The Browns need to land someone who they can count on and be a reliable target for whoever they bring in at quarterback. This year’s draft is light on top-end receivers so it may be difficult for the Browns to address this need.
