He has a knack for locating the open running lane while also featuring the ability to squeeze through small holes.
His vision is one of the keys to his success. Chubb does a good job understanding the blocking and making the most out of each carry.

His hard-nosed running style also helps him avoid yards for loss. Chubb rarely goes down after initial contact and keeps his legs churning.
This isn’t a running back with elite explosiveness, but he has enough quickness and overall speed to attack the edges. His patience and savvy also play a role in that he sets the defender up to provide him with more space.
Chubb was a little overshadowed this past year by Sony Michel, but he’s an equally dangerous runner with the ability to be a lead back in the NFL.
An area where he needs to improve is as a pass catcher. This past year he only hauled in 4 receptions and a 3-year total of 13. His best receiving numbers came as a Freshman where he caught 18 passes. Chubb will need to display more receiving skills if he hopes to become an every-down back.
