He is someone who immediately jumps off the screen because of his size and speed combo. McIntosh has an excellent 1st step and the burst needed to make plays away from his frame. He combines that quickness with good snap awareness.
McIntosh has shown the ability to penetrate the pocket and wreak havoc in the offensive backfield. He is someone who can fit as a 3-technique at the next level.

His heavy hands help him control the action and disengage. He is a real nightmare for interior offensive linemen to keep in check.
This is a defender who could quickly establish himself as a strong presence along in an NFL rotation.
McIntosh is a high-motor defender who is always in pursuit of the football. He will work through blocks and chase the ball down field.
One area McIntosh needs to improve is playing with a little more patience. At times, he can become too focused on penetrating the pocket which opens holes in the defense.
This could be some of how Miami wanted to attack, but still an area to watch.
Overall, McIntosh is a high-upside prospect who is also capable of making an instant impact. His disruptive style of play is something most defensive coordinators covet.
