Ohio State’s Nick Bosa is a high-end 2019 NFL Draft pass rushing prospect who has tremendous upside.

Nick Bosa features a long frame with the arm length evaluators look for in a pass rushing prospect. His combination of size, length and natural athleticism make him one of the more talented prospects eligible for the 2019 NFL Draft.

He has the build of a traditional defensive with a frame that could add some more bulk. His future looks like someone who will work with his hand in the dirt.

Bosa shows a quick first step and snap awareness that helps him generate pressure. He also possesses some suddenness that allows him to work around blockers. Bosa’s balance helps him bend around the edge and close on the quarterback.

His ability to get after the quarterback has a lot to do with his 1st step, non-stop motor and closing quickness.

Despite his success, Bosa still needs to develop more pass rushing moves. He tends to allow his athleticism to do most of the work. His overall game would benefit from improving his hand usage and having more of a game plan.

Bosa’s inconsistent hand usage also shows up in the running game. He has been able to overcome this based on his natural skill set, but at the next level it could be a problem.

However, when Bosa does fight for proper hand placement he can control the action. He has a powerful upper body that allows him to deliver a shock and easily shed from the block. His short-area burst adds to his success by helping him make plays away from his frame.

Overall, Bosa is a very clean prospect with the upside to be a disruptive force at the next level. His combination of size, quickness and feel for the game also makes him a relatively safe prospect. Look for him to hear his name called very early in the 2019 NFL Draft.
