The Arizona Cardinals went through a major shake up this offseason bringing in a new coaching staff plus remaking the quarterback room.

Things are going to look very different for the Arizona Cardinals this year. They said goodbye to Bruce Arians replacing him with the defensive minded Steve Wilks. Carson Palmer is also gone which will spur a training camp battle at the quarterback spot.

The quarterback situation will be the most fun thing to watch throughout the summer. Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon were brought in as veteran pieces, but both could be surpassed by rookie Josh Rosen.

Arizona rightfully traded up in the draft in order to land Rosen’s services. He’s a polished passer who also comes with tremendous upside.

It wouldn’t come as a shock if Rosen is able to seize the starting quarterback job during training camp. Bradford is nothing more than a placeholder while Glennon is best served as a backup in the NFL.

More from With the First Pick

The Cardinals made some moves to remake parts of their offensive line. Justin Pugh was signed from the New York Giants and Andre Smith was brought in from Cincinnati. Pugh represents an upgrade while Smith is more of a stopgap.

Arizona could also work versatile rookie Cole Mason into the offensive line mix. He fit fit at guard, center or offensive tackle.

Another big addition to the offense is wide receiver Christian Kirk. The rookie will quickly be thrust into action and could see a lot of targets this year. He’s immediately the most explosive option in the receiving corps.

Not much was added to the defense except for cornerback Jamar Taylor. He rebuild his career in Cleveland and now projects as the starter opposite Patrick Robinson. However, the secondary also suffered a loss in Tyrann Mathieu.

Overall, this offseason will be considered a success if Rosen lives up to the hype. The rest of the moves aren’t very inspiring, but Rosen has a chance to be special.
