The Miami Dolphins roster will look a lot different than last year thanks to a string of offseason moves.

It was a busy offseason for the Miami Dolphins who cut ties with the likes of Ndamukong Suh, but also brought in a lot of new faces. There were some roster building moves as well as some that are meant as short-term help.

The interior of the offensive line got two short-term additions in Josh Sitton and Daniel Kilgore. Both are established veterans who should stabilize things up the middle. However, don’t be surprised if Miami is looking to replace both next offseason.

Miami spent some serious money at the wide receiver position in an attempt to replace the traded Jarvis Landry. Danny Amendola and Albert Wilson will both see action in the slot where they have big shoes to fill.

Landry had his fair share of critics, but the guy produced and put up huge numbers. The Dolphins will have a hard time replacing him.

Another guy who will be asked to help fill in for Landry is rookie tight end Mike Gesicki. His size and ability to high-point the football should make him an immediate red zone threat. It will be interesting to see if he can also help move the chains.

Miami’s running game will look a little different with the additions of Frank Gore and Kalen Ballage. However, Kenyan Drake should be the lead-back and focus of the running attack.

Defensively, the big additions was Robert Quinn. He’s a strong edge presence who can get after the quarterback. The big question is whether or not he can stay healthy. His inability to stay on the field could be a problem.

Miami got a draft-day steal when Minkah Fitzpatrick fell to them at pick No. 11. He ranked as a top-7 player on my board and someone with game-changing ability. The Dolphins are likely to use him at cornerback but also take advantage of his versatility.

All the moves made by the Dolphins this offseason are unlikely to move the needle much. They still have questions at quarterback with Ryan Tannehill.
