LSU’s Andraez Greedy Williams is a high-end cornerback prospect who should come off the board early in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Andraez Greedy Williams has quickly established himself as the top 2019 NFL Draft cornerback prospect. He’s a fluid athlete who has a great feel for the game. Williams has all the traits needed to be a shut-down corner at the next level.

LSU often asks Williams to work on an island where he shows terrific man-to-man skills. However, he has also spent time working out of the slot. It’s very possible that Williams is used as a shadow for the opposing team’s top receiver.

Williams works with a low base and good balance. He keeps his head on a swivel and has a natural feel for the position. This is someone who can sense when the ball is coming and quickly get his head around.

His long arms and frame help him attack the ball at its highest point. He is more than capable of matching up against bigger targets.

Williams’ combination of speed and fluidity helps him keep in-phase with his target. However, it’s his ball skills that separate him. He has a knack for jumping the route and hauling in the interception. Williams also excels at tracking the ball in the deep part of the field.

He is a major threat to create turnovers because he is also very opportunistic. His feel for when to take a risk makes him special.

Williams shows the ability to be a strong leader. He can often be found communicating with his teammates and ensuring they are in proper position. This shows the ability to lead both vocally and by example.

The one area where Williams needs to improve is against the run. Too often he will shy away from contact and not aggressively attack the runner. He’ll need to improve this part of his game in order to become a complete player.
