The Los Angeles Rams grabbed headlines the entire offseason hoping to build off last year’s success.

It was a very active and exciting offseason for the Los Angeles Rams. They brought in some high-profile names in the hopes they can take the next step. All their moves has put them as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Los Angeles most splashy moves came on the defensive side of the ball. They brought in Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib and Ndamukong Suh. These three bring plenty playmaking ability but also big personalities.

Trading for Peters gives the Rams a young and difference making cornerback. His ability to create turnovers will put a ton of pressure on the opposing offense.

Talib is a savvy veteran who is capable of locking down the opponents No. 1 target. His feisty demeanor will bring an edge to an already tough defense. The duo of Peters and Talib is one of the better starting cornerback groups in the league.

More from With the First Pick

Suh is a bit of a luxury piece who joins a crowded defensive line rotation. Wade Phillips has the creativity to find ways to get Suh, Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers on the field at once.

An under the radar addition to the secondary is Sam Shields. He’s trying to make a comeback after multiple concussions forced him to miss an extended period of time.

Los Angeles made some minor moves in an attempt to replace Alec Ogletree who they traded to the New York Giants. Veteran Ramik Wilson will get the first shot at Ogletree’s job with rookies Micah Kiser and Trevon Young also in the mix.

Ogbonnia Okoronkwo is someone who has major upside as a pass rusher. Don’t be surprised if he sees early action in sub-packages. He could be asked to replace some of Robert Quinn‘s production.

The big offensive addition was wide receiver Brandin Cooks. Los Angeles traded for him after they lost Sammy Watkins in free agency. Cooks is a major deep threat who can also work the underneath routes.

He has a chance to quickly become one of Jared Goff‘s favorite targets.
