The Houston Texans are looking forward to getting several stars back from injury and using their offseason additions to make a playoff push.

Despite not having many resources at their disposal, the Houston Texans were able to make several high impact moves. The biggest of those additions came on the defensive side of the ball with the likes of Tyrann Mathieu and Aaron Colvin.

Mathieu comes with injury risk, but when healthy he provides playmaking ability in the secondary. His versatility as a defender is also something that really helps a defense.

Colvin established himself last  year as one of the better slot cornerbacks in the league. He uses his quick-twitch ability and fluid movement to limit separation. Look for the Texans to continue to use Colvin in the slot.

Rookies Duke Ejiofor and Justin Reid will start the year as depth pieces. However, both have a shot at earning more playing time.

Ejiofor is a sound edge rusher who uses a combination of quickness and power. He is someone who can step in if the injury bug strikes again. Reid is a well-rounded safety who can also spend some time in the slot.

Houston made some solid additions to their offensive line this offseason. Zach Fulton was signed in free agency and will start at either guard or center. He has developed into an above-average player of the past few years.

Veteran Senio Kelemete also figures to be in the mix at guard. He comes with plenty of experience, but only represents placeholder type production.

Martinas Rankin was drafted in the 3rd round and could see action at left tackle, guard or center. He has starting experience at each of those positions. It would make sense for the Texans to start him off at left tackle where they are thin.

Houston added some intriguing offensive weapons in the draft. Keke Coutee, Jordan Akins and Jordan Thomas all  have some upside.

Coutee will get an opportunity to earn playing time as a slot receiver. He is someone with excellent change of direction skills and deep speed. Coutee will face competition from Braxton Miller and Bruce Ellington.
