Potential No. 1 overall pick, QB Kyler Murray, will put his skills on display in front of all 32 teams on campus at Oklahoma during his Pro Day Wednesday in what may be the final step in his journey to being the first player selected in April’s 2019 NFL draft.

Murray’s expected to do everything — run the 40-yard dash and make all the throws — that he didn’t do at the 2019 NFL combine. His Pro Day will be, by far, the most anticipated of the circuit.

More from With the First Pick

According to NBC Sports’ Peter King, Oklahoma has credentialed more than 100 people for the workout, with more anticipated before Murray steps onto the field. That’s an insane crowd for a scripted workout; Baker Mayfield, last year’s No. 1 pick, drew 80 media members in addition to all 32 teams at his workout last year, per King.

Murray began the draft process jockeying with Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins for the top spot on the quarterback rankings but he’s surpassed him by a wide margin at this point. His draft stock is so high, in fact, that he’s being pegged as the likely pick for the Cardinals despite Arizona spending a first-round pick on QB Josh Rosen in 2018.

Even if Arizona isn’t ready to give up on Rosen just yet, Murray is the kind of prospect who could lure a quarterback-needy team with assets to spare into a trade with the Cardinals for the top pick. The Giants, for example, now own the No. 6 and No. 17 picks overall and could decide to package them to move up for Eli Manning’s eventual replacement.

Barring some kind of a massive letdown, Murray’s Pro Day should solidify his status as the most exciting offensive prospect in the class and the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 pick.
