What to make of Josh Rosen’s omission from Cardinals’ schedule video
By Bryan Perez
The Arizona Cardinals are trying to create doubt about who they’ll select with the No. 1 pick overall, but their 2019 NFL schedule video may have given the final clue that Kyler Murray is the pick.
The 2019 NFL schedule was released Wednesday night amid a flurry of team social media accounts sharing creative and downright entertaining videos revealing their weekly opponents.
The Arizona Cardinals joined the Twitter party and shared a video of their own, but there was one glaring omission. Take a look:
Cardinals players like Larry Fitzgerald and David Johnson are featured in the 90-second clip, but what about their current starting quarterback, Josh Rosen? You know, the guy they selected with the No. 10 pick in last year’s draft? He’s nowhere to be found.
Arizona has long been connected with Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick, and despite GM Steve Keim’s best effort to sell the media on the idea that the team hasn’t made its decision on who they’re going to select, Rosen’s noninclusion in the video tells a completely different story.

If, in fact, the Cardinals plan on rolling with Rosen in 2019 and beyond, he’d not only be in the video, but he’d be featured. If he is, in fact, the team’s franchise quarterback, this season would be marketed around him; it would be all about Josh Rosen.
There’s no more speculation here. There’s no more guessing. The Cardinals are going to draft Kyler Murray, and when they do, they’ll market him the way a team should market their quarterback. He’ll be the face of the franchise. Immediately.
The NFL draft officially gets started at the second pick, where the 49ers will likely select Ohio State edge rusher Nick Bosa. From there, it gets fun. The Jets are a wildcard and they hold what may be the most valuable asset for teams looking to trade up for a quarterback like Dwayne Haskins or an interior disrupter like Quinnen Williams.
