In this 53-man roster series, we will try to predict which players will make every team’s final squad. Next up, the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints have been extremely in the games in which they were eliminated from the playoffs the past two years. That is especially true last year on a very unfortunate non-call of pass interference. That shouldn’t take away from how good New Orleans has been the last few years though. And they should continue to be very good in 2019 as well.

Drew Brees, Sean Payton, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara all return to lead what will once again be an explosive offense while this may just be the best defense of Payton’s tenure. The Saints should once again be Super Bowl contenders, but can they finally break through to reach those heights in 2019?

Quarterbacks

  • Drew Brees
  • Teddy Bridgewater
  • Taysom Hill

Drew Brees has already broken many of Peyton Manning’s passing records as a lock for the Hall of Fame once he retires. Teddy Bridgewater just might be the best backup in the league as he could be the starter for multiple different franchises. Taysom Hill is more athletic and brings a different dimension to the offense when he gets on the field.
