Safeties

  • Marcus Williams
  • Vonn Bell
  • Chauncey Gardner-Johnson
  • Chris Banjo
  • Saquon Hampton

Marcus Williams has developed into one of the better free safeties in the league due to his excellent range on the backend of the defense. Bell is a perfect complement as more of a box safety. How the Saints were able to draft the talented, versatile Gardner-Johnson in the fourth round is anyone’s guess. He should get plenty of playing time right away. Banjo is a core Special Teamer who provides more good depth. Hampton is a sixth-round pick with excellent speed who will mainly contribute on Special Teams early in his career.
