5 Receptions – 125 Yards – TD

A third-round pick from Ohio State, Terry McLaurin pushed his way into the Washington Redskins’ Week 1 starting spot out wide. He quickly burst onto the scene, torching the Eagles’ secondary early for his first career touchdown.

McClaurin flashed his 4.35 40-yard dash speed en route to his big day. The Redskins’ early offensive showing came as a surprise to many, but not McClaurin.

“I belong here,” he said after the game.

If he keeps performing in this fashion he won’t have to tell people he belongs, it’ll be common knowledge.

McClaurin was one of four rookie pass catchers to hit the century mark in receiving yardage in Week 1. Before Sunday, only 12 rookies all-time had done such a thing. That’s high company for the young speedster who looks to be a prime weapon for the Redskins moving forward.
