3. Darnell Savage – Green Bay Packers

Green Bay’s trade up for Savage was something of an eyebrow-raiser but the safety has gone a long way towards justifying the Packers’ decision.

Savage has played a crucial part in the drastic improvements made by the defense of the 3-1 Packers in 2019.

The range and playmaking ability that was present during his collegiate career have translated to the pros immediately. Savage has four passes defensed and an interception to go with 15 individual tackles.

Only five safeties have won Defensive Player of the Year since the merger. However, if Savage continues to excel and the Packers defense is a key part of a playoff season, he will have a decent shot.
