James Robinson may be the most well-known small-school prospect right now, and when you look at his career production it isn’t hard to see why. Over 3,500 total yards and 37 total touchdowns will certainly grab your attention.

Like most top small-school prospects, Robinson has good size at a solid 5-foot-10 and 220 pounds. He combines that with very good quickness and breakaway speed to be a very explosive back in the open field. Robinson shows very good footwork and elusiveness, similar to that of Chicago Bears rookie David Montgomery. While he will miss cutback lanes at times, Robinson shows solid vision overall. He is also a willing pass protector and was able to stonewall blitzing linebackers on multiple occasions.

Despite his good frame, Robinson doesn’t always run with a lot of power and can shy away from contact at times. This caused him to fumble twice, and nearly a third time, in the game I watched of him this season.

Robinson is also on the Senior Bowl’s radar and will likely face top competition in Mobile in January as well.

Projection: Mid-to-Late Round Pick (5th-6th Round)
