Trey Sermon RB
Oklahoma’s Trey Sermon does not have elite production this season for the Sooners, but has a handful of promising traits that he has displayed over the last two years. With only 385 yards and four touchdowns this year, his numbers are on pace to be down from where they were a year ago, but that has more to do with his usage than Sermon’s ability.

Sermon is averaging over seven yards each time he touches the football, however limited that may be. A true one-cut back, Sermon has the agility to beat the opposing defender in one-on-one matchups and continue upfield; for his 6-0 and 220 pound frame, Sermon has a great juke move to free up additional yardage.
The Oklahoma junior, while lacking top-end speed, shows great initial burst to get through his running lanes and has the strength to power through murky holes. He has also shown great versatility as both a pass catcher out of the backfield and as an active participant in pass protection.
Having a handful of deficiencies in addition to his production, Sermon has to work on his pad level as he looks to run through defenders; this also impedes is ability to make fluid cuts in the open field as he loses a bit of juice while making the open field move.
