What about the rest of the class?
Outside of Williams and Wilson, it was not a great showing for the 2019 draft class. Third round linebacker Sione Takitaki, picked two rounds ahead of Wilson, is still seeing minimal snaps on the defensive side of the football and still contributing predominantly as a special teamer. With the impending free agency of veteran linebacker Joe Schobert, the Browns were hoping to have Takitaki and Wilson in place to replace him and Kirksey; as it turns out, Schobert is essential to the Cleveland defense.

Fourth round safety Sheldrick Redwine only found the field due to an injury to veteran Morgan Burnett and the ejection of Damarious Randall. The pick of Redwine was baffling at the time, and he continues to look completely lost on the football field.
Pro tip: never draft kickers. While rookie and fifth round kicker Austin Seibert started the season perfect, he has started to crumble over the last two weeks. After missing an extra point a week ago in the defeat of the Buffalo Bills, Seibert also missed two field goals in last night’s primetime game. One more game with a miss, and Seibert may be on the hot seat in Cleveland.
Sixth round pick Drew Forbes was activated from injured reserve yesterday, but did not see any game action. Look for Forbes to potentially take over the starting right tackle role for the struggling Chris Hubbard at some point in the future.
Barring any more injuries, Greedy Williams and Mack Wilson will be the only two contributing rookies from the brown and orange class of 2019. Next week the Browns will take on the Miami Dolphins, a game that both Williams and Wilson should see plenty of time on the field to terrorize the tanking AFC East opponent.
