And while he wasn’t able to find the endzone against Iowa, Taylor was able to punch it in twice against Nebraska. It’s safe to say Jonathan Taylor has had quite the up and down season, but when he is right and playing well, it is a thing of beauty.
His inconsistency this season, however, is the reason that he is a long shot to win the Heisman Trophy despite coming into the rankings at number five. He should be considered a tier below the top four contenders at this point.
Jonathan Taylor will look to keep his hot streak going this weekend when Wisconsin hosts the Purdue Boilermakers this weekend. That will precede a big showdown with Minnesota for effectively the Big Ten West Division crown.
