Scouting Report. South Carolina. Javon Kinlaw. 24. Pick Analysis. IDL. player. 60

With the 24th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Javon Kinlaw, interior defensive lineman, South Carolina.

Javon Kinlaw is an absolute freak athlete from his defensive tackle position, and he has played himself into a likely first round pick due to his play and film as well. On the season, Kinlaw has tallied six sacks and six tackles behind the line of the scrimmage for the Gamecocks; for his career, Kinlaw has recorded 10 total sacks and 17 tackles for loss.

At 6-6 and 318 pounds, Kinlaw has also managed to get his massive mits on two passses at the line of scrimmage this season for South Carolina as well. With Linval Joseph preoccupying the nose tackle spot for the Viking, and Danielle Hunter and Everson Griffen off the edge, imagine plugging the massive Kinlaw in at the interior of that front as well.

While the Vikings could absolutely go interior offensive line again after picking Garrett Bradbury a year ago due to the struggles of Pat Elflien, the offense looks to be clicking at a high level right now. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Stack up an elite defensive line and dominate the NFC North.
