2. Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

The biggest riser in the 2020 NFL Draft class is the number two senior on the board. Joe Burrow has had an unbelievable 2019 season at quarterback. He’s seen a massive jump in production this year for LSU, and while some of that can be attributed to Joe Brady coming in to help the offense, Burrow has definitely improved. Burrow is completing 78 percent of his passes this season, has 10.8 yards per attempt, and has 38 touchdowns to just six interceptions.

He did flash a bit near the end of last season, especially against Florida. Burrow showed good accuracy down the field in that game and was solid working in the pocket. However, no one saw this coming from Burrow this season.

Burrow is a master from the pocket. He is great at reading the whole field and making smart decisions. His ability to maneuver in the pocket brings Tony Romo comparisons to the table. Burrow has great accuracy to all levels of the field, and is clearly the best in this class as far as accuracy 20-plus yards down the field. He also showed his ability to make things happen outside the pocket last week against Mississippi.

His rise to a potential top overall pick has been amazing to watch.
