Scouting Report

Opposite of Dobbins, Yetur Gross-Matos came into this season as a highly rated prospect, but has since fallen down in the rankings. A tough prospect with a hard upbringing has athleticism and speed off the edge, but still needs to put it all together; he has a chance to make a massive statement on Saturday against the second ranked Buckeyes.

At 6-5 and 264, Gross-Matos has the length and size to compete off the edge at the next level, but needs to add a move or two to his arsenal. After tallying eight sacks and a massive 20 tackles behind the line of scrimmage for the Nittany Lions as a sophomore, he production has taken a dip this year. In a deep EDGE class in the 2020 NFL Draft, Gross-Matos is starting to blend in with the middle of the pack rather than stand out.

While he has a chance to match or surpass his sack numbers from a year ago as he has six already, Gross-Matos has been less disruptive in the backfield this year and has only hit the halfway mark of his tackles for loss from a year ago. Kenny Willikes of Michigan State and Zack Baun of Wisconsin are the best pass rushers the Buckeyes have faced this season, so Gross-Matos will be a whole new level of competition off the edge this weekend.
