Round 3. Sage Surratt. WR. 889. Pick Analysis. Scouting Report. Pick 86. player

As stated before, wide receiver is one of the biggest groups that need to be upgraded on the Colts’ roster this offseason. While injuries to TY Hilton, Parris Campbell, and Devin Funchess certainly haven’t helped, the position group has been largely disappointing this year. With those three out or hindered, breakout player Zach Pascal is the only receiver that has gotten separation on a consistent basis this year.

Sage Surratt has excellent size and knows how to use it as well. He uses his 6-foot-3 and 215-pound frame well to body defensive backs and create separation. While not a speedster by any  means, he has enough to threaten the defense vertically at times. In other words, Surratt is the perfect complement to the speedsters like Hilton and Campbell already on the roster. He is a very similar player to Devin Funchess who is a free agent after this season.

Pick Analysis. RB. 829. Scouting Report. Round 4. Pick 118. Najee Harris. player

There is no denying that Marlon Mack has been nothing short of amazing as the feature back in Indianapolis this season. When healthy, he has been nearly unstoppable at times when running behind the excellent offensive line.

But Mack has also shown in his short career that he struggles to stay healthy and would benefit from having another running back to take more of the pressure off of him as a runner. Jonathan Williams has come on as a solid backup the past couple of games, but he lacks the juice to keep the running game going at the same clip.

When talking about juice from the running back position, you have to mention Najee Harris. Admittingly, he could benefit from going back to school next year for his senior season, but he has all the skills to be successful in the NFL.

He as great size, is an excellent athlete, and is a threat as a receiver out of the backfield as well. Harris needs to improve his protection, but nearly all college running backs have to work on that when they enter the NFL. Mack and Harris would create a devastating backfield with Nyheim Hines as the third-down back.
