Scouting Report

The first defensive back to make the list, Notre Dame has a true freshman at defensive back playing at a high level already in Kyle Hamilton. After graduating Julian Love a year ago, they have another great cornerback waiting in the wings; too bad NFL teams cannot get their hands on him for another two years.

On the year for the Fighting Irish, Hamilton has already recorded three interceptions, a defensive touchdown, three additional passes defended, a tackle behind the line of scrimmage, and 22 solo tackles as a true freshman. Listed as a defensive back, Hamilton has the versatility to play in the nickel, as a passing down linebacker, and over the top at the third level of the Notre Dame defense.

Showing tremendous coverage ability and a sure tackler, NFL teams have to already have their eyes on Hamilton. He has a rare combination of size and speed that make him an asset to any defense.

With incredible measurables, Hamilton is listed at 6-4 and 210 pounds as he plays in the Notre Dame secondary. He is a rangy defensive back that has the ability to close in on ball carriers with ease. Grant Delpit is all the rage, but Kyle Hamilton’s got next.
