Hunter Bryant, TE, Washington

The tight end group for the 2020 NFL Draft leaves a lot to be desired right now. That could change after we get into the pre-draft process, but for now, there are just a couple good names at the top. Hunter Bryant is one of those players.

Bryant is a very good receiving tight end for the Huskies. He’s caught 46 passes this season for 729 yards and three touchdowns, which has been a giant boost in production. Bryant has become a favorite target for quarterback Jacob Eason, and it’s easy to see why.

Bryant is a matchup nightmare no matter who he lines up against. He’s a dynamic playmaker in the passing game. He has quick feet and has shown the ability to create separation against defensive backs. Bryant adjusts so well to the ball in the air and has strong hands to secure the football in contested spots. Once the ball is in his hands, he can turn the play upfield and erase angles from safeties.

Let’s not forget about his versatility. It’s important to see tight ends block and be a good receiver. Bryant is physical and has good strength to push defenders back. His size is turning analysts off right now, but that’s a mistake. He could have a big day in this game.
