Jacob Eason, QB, Washington

Huskies quarterback Jacob Eason has been on the 2020 NFL Draft radar since the beginning of the season. He showed he had a strong arm at Georgia and could make big time throws down the field, but it was evident he needed to develop.

There have definitely been flashes of development this season for Eason. He’s made some very good throws down the field with placement and touch on the ball and has made some insane throws between defenders. Eason has the arm strength to push the ball down the field and can put touch on the football. His footwork has improved from his time at Georgia and he is much better at making throws on the move.

The issues with Eason have been highlighted this season. He’s been a true roller coaster in some games this year. He looked so good in the first half against Utah, but then he made some killer mistakes, including getting baited on an interception that turned into a pick six.

There are just too many inconsistencies for me to see Eason as a first round player. It might even be best for him to return to school next year. Even still, he will be a fun study in this game.
