Scouting Report

Allow this writer to introduce you to the Davis Mills 2021 Draft hype as a special edition member of the this Stock Up Report. Starting in place of KJ Costello, Davis Mills gave us a look into what he could be as a prospect.

That’s a lot of poise right there for a kid only in his 7th career start to stare down the barrel of the gun like that and deliver a strike. Davis Mills is indeed eligible for this class but due to a lack of film he probably won’t declare but it’s good to see him add his name into the hats of quarterbacks we need to look for next year.

He showed very good poise against a Notre Dame defense that came into the game 3rd in the country in passing yards allowed per game and Mills found a good amount of success passing. His mechanics are beautiful and he has a compact release that generates good velocity on his throws.

There’s good touch and accuracy on his throws as well which is why Davis Mills is a name you should look out for next year if your team doesn’t win the Justin Fields or Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. More film of him will be the biggest thing in his evaluation moving forward but his spot starts this year have most certainly given him intrigue. Davis Mills is a quarterback to keep an eye on in next year’s class because he has the goods to be a first round talent.
