2020 NFL Draft: Selecting collegiate head coaches to needy teams
By Cory Kinnan
With the fourth pick in this fake 2020 NFL Draft mock, the Jacksonville Jaguars look to replace current head coach Doug Marrone, who is on quite a hot seat, with the most animated coach in college football: Mike Leach. The former Texas Tech and current Washington State head coach is known for his humor, brashness, and honesty with the media, and also convinced Gardner Minshew to transfer to Washington State.
Minshew and his mustache mania are now infiltrating the streets of Jacksonville after he filled in for the injured Nick Foles, and is now back in the lineup after the veteran quarterback was benched last week. Who better to reign in Minshew and build him up than the man that has already done it in Leach?
The Jaguars have too much speed on the offensive side of the football in D.J. Chark, Dede Westbrook, Chris Conley and more to just lineup in a traditional pro style offense and force feed Leonard Fournette 30 times per game. Leach will spread his speedsters out, and as a result, spread the defense out and give Fournette wider lanes to run through.
Traveling in the exact opposite of the Pacific Northwest, Leach lands in the south as he takes over the reigns of the Jaguars.
