Xavier McKinney. 15. Scouting Report. S. Pick Analysis. Alabama. player. 123

Barring a trade for New York Jets’ star safety Jamal Adams, the Dallas Cowboys will be in desperate search for a safety in the 2020 NFL Draft. Grant Delpit is likely to be long gone before the Cowboys get on the clock, leaving them with another prospect to look into.

Ashtyn Davis from California? No, Alabama’s Xavier McKinney and the Cowboys are meant to be, as he not only fits a team need in Dallas, but is also a stat sheet stuffer who would greatly impact the defense and specifically the secondary. It will be interesting to see how many of these Alabama stars, McKinney included will play or sit their bowl game with no National Championship to play for.
The 6-1 and 200 pound safety has stacked the box score this year for the Crimson Tide, totaling 55 solo tackles, four and a half tackles for loss, two sacks, three interceptions, one defensive touchdown, five passes defended, one fumble recovery, and four forced fumbles. Breathe.
Dallas, in all honesty should be in a much better position this season, but adding McKinney to their secondary (that could be losing a star in Byron Jones) is too good to be true. If McKinney is on the board when the Cowboys are set to pick, it should be the fastest card submitted in draft history.
