CB. Ohio St. Jeffrey Okudah. 7. player. . Pick Analysis. 52

For years, the Jacksonville Jaguars built their team to win with a great defense. In 2019, things haven’t played out that way. They are in the bottom half of the league in points allowed per game and in turnover ratio. Enter Jeffrey Okudah, who should help bolster both of those numbers going forward.

Okudah is as good a cornerback prospect as any who have entered the draft in recent seasons. He has great speed, good hands, and natural instincts in coverage that set him above other prospects. The Jags traded Jalen Ramsey this season. Adding Okudah replaces what they lost.

Pick Analysis. Edge. Iowa. player. . AJ Epenesa. 8. 44

The Atlanta Falcons absolutely must find pass rushing help this offseason. They’re giving up nearly 25 points per game, and are in the bottom five in sacks with just 23 on the year. Vic Beasley is a free agent and the teams is set to be nearly bare in the pass rush department.

AJ Epenesa isn’t a speed rusher like Beasley, but he is versatile and effective, registering 19.5 sacks over the past two seasons. He also has 29 tackles for a loss in that time. His size is nice, and will allow him to move around on the line, depending on personnel. His ceiling isn’t that of Chase Young, but he could be a very nice addition to a team needing edge help.

OT. Jedrick Wills. player. 30. Pick Analysis. Alabama. 9.

The Jets are a mess. They did get what appears to be a franchise quarterback in Sam Darnold, but he has few weapons and a poor offensive line in front of him. In a class deep at receiver and running back, getting protection for their passer takes precedent over anything else at this point in the draft.

Jedrick Wills is a big, powerful right tackle who dominates as a run blocker. He is an adequate pass blocker as well, and while he’s an instant starter on the right side now, he could eventually move to left tackle.
