Scouting Report

J.K. Dobbins came out rolling early as if he carried his momentum right over from the Big Ten championship game. Dobbins broke of a 68-yard touchdown run to get the fiesta started early in Arizona. He consistently looked like he was going to be no match for the Buckeyes early on in the game. He ended the night with the 174 yards on only 18 carries and showed some versatility out of the backfield on the last drive.

He began to slow down after being hampered with an ankle injury but still maintained what was a really good performance. Dobbins showed his ability to be patient and find holes. Once he found those holes, it was one cut and he was rolling into the second and third level of defenders.

He was able to show that he is more than just a bruising back as he showed the ability to be nimble and fast while still running with great contact balance and power. A very good running back class this year hasn’t stopped J.K. Dobbins from putting his mark on it as he has raised his stock as a prospect in the biggest games this season. He will not make it out of the top two rounds of the draft.
