Scouting Report. Kentucky. Lynn Bowden. Pick Analysis. WR. 1. player. 833

Lynn Bowden is by far the MVP of the 2019 season for Kentucky. He single-handily saved the season by moving to play quarterback after injuries to quarterbacks Terry Wilson and Sawyer Smith early in the year. With Bowden at quarterback, the Wildcats fully embraced the powerful rushing attack as Bowden only threw for 330 yards and two touchdowns on the year. He did account for 1,235 yards with 11 touchdowns on the ground to be Kentucky’s leading rusher. Amazingly, he was also their leading receiver with 30 catches for 348 yards and one touchdown.

Bowden has a prototypical lead wide receiver build at 6-foot-1 and 199 pounds. Obviously, he is a very good overall athlete considering his ability to change positions midseason. He possesses very good speed and quickness. The main question surrounding Bowden before the season was his ability to run crisp routes. Unfortunately, due to the position change, he didn’t get much of a chance to answer those questions.

Bowden is a Junior who has already announced his intentions of entering the 2020 NFL Draft. Thankfully for the Wildcats, he will be suiting up one last time in the Belk Bowl. While he won’t be playing at his natural position, Bowden will surely show off his athleticism and speed which will translate to the NFL nicely.
