The New England Patriots had an early exit from the playoffs, but try to re-stock for another run in this seven-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

The six-time NFL Champions will now turn their attention to the 2020 NFL Draft after they saw their bid for a seventh Lombardi Trophy end early on Saturday night as the New England Patriots were defeated by the Tennessee Titans.

It was a tough, hard-fought game but in the end, head coach Bill Belichick was defeated by one of his former players as Mike Vrabel, the Titans head coach, found a way to secure a victory and move on to the Divisional Round next week.

For New England, it was heartbreaking but not a complete shock. While they managed to once again win the AFC East, this wasn’t the same Patriots team we are accustomed to seeing — specifically on offense.

After losing Rob Gronkowski to retirement, the Patriots lacked the big playmakers they’re used to having alongside Tom Brady and Julian Edelman. They did land N’Keal Harry in the draft, but the rookie is still developing as an NFL player. He looks to be a star in the making, but in this game, he was limited to just 21 yards while once again, the Pats had to lean heavily on role players such as James White.

Where the don’t have too many questions to answer is on the defensive side of the ball. This was easily one of the best seasons for the New England defense as Bill Belichick reminded us all that he knows how to scheme things on that side of the ball.

Even in the loss that was evident as the Titans had just 71 yards passing. New England just didn’t have an answer for Derrick Henry, as the NFL rushing leader plowed his way to 182 yards and a touchdown.

With all that being said, we look forward as we try and re-stock the Patriots in this 7-round NFL mock draft. And in this mock, it’s assumed that Tom Brady and Bill Belichick will both return because it’s likely they will — despite any rumors.
