Round 1, Pick 6

Pick one of the following positions to draft:

Offensive Tackle

Chances are that Phillip Rivers doesn’t return in 2020. That leaves the Chargers in a bit of a bind with the quarterback situation. However, the Chargers still need to invest in someone to protect the future signal-caller. This season the Chargers offensive line gave up 34 sacks, 40 hurries and 55 QB hits, some improvement is much needed here.

Wide Receiver

The receiving core of the Charges is great, led by Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. However, there is a huge drop off in talent and production after this. The next best player listed at wide receiver is Dontrelle Inman. Although Austin Eckler plays out of the slot and racked up nearly 1000 yards receiving, his contract is about to expire, and there will be a need to fill the role he will leave behind if he decides to test free agency

The pick is in!

With the sixth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers select:

Jedrick Wills, OT Alabama

Consider the services of Alabama OT Jedrick Wills, the best pass protector in the class. He has an excellent frame (standing at 6’5″ 320 pounds), excellent core strength and the fundamentals to handle most styles of pass rushers. He played RT in college, but he looks like he could play both sides at the professional level. To see his ability to dominate, go watch his tape against in-state rival, Auburn, this season.

or

CeeDee Lamb, WR Oklahoma

Lamb is one of the most explosive players in college football, amassing over 1300 yards, 14 touchdowns, averaging over 20 yards per catch, on only 62 receptions last season. Lamb has sure hands and is one of the most fluid route runners in this class. If they are looking to add some much-needed depth at the wide receiver position, look no further than this versatile player.
