Bears are looking at Derek Carr: Buy

It’s Time to cut the cord in Chicago. After three seasons of mediocre to bad football; Mitchell Trubisky needs to go. The Bears can say all they want how they are committed to Trubisky, but the idea of getting Derek Carr is too good to pass up. Chicago needs to win now. They have relatively no salary cap space, and don’t have a first round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders have an interesting relationship. It seems as if the Raiders have been looking to get Carr out of there since the Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock regime took over. Derek Carr’s name has been the center of trade rumors for almost two years. It was rumored, during the Senior Bowl last year, that the Raiders had heavy interest in Kyler Murray.
On the other side of this, Gruden and Carr reportedly have a great relationship, and will be neighbors in Las Vegas.

The Bears have a decision to make about Mitchell Trubisky. If they go into training camp with Trubisky as the undisputed starting Quarterback, then the front office and coaching staff would prove their ineptitude, and no one wants to get fired. Derek Carr gives the Bears a much better chance to return to the postseason, and Chicago will certainly be making calls with Las Vegas.
