2020 NFL Draft: Tua Tagovailoa set to resume training activities today
By Cory Kinnan
For the first time since his injury in the late part of fall, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been medically cleared ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft
As the 2020 NFL Draft inches closer, now under 50 days until the main event, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is set to be medically cleared to resume training activities today. During his combine availability just over a week ago, Tagovailoa stated that he planned to be full go on the ninth day of March.
Well, that day has officially arrived.
With LSU’s Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Joe Burrow looking like a lock to go first overall to the Cincinnati Bengals, Tagovailoa is in play to go directly after him and in the top-three of the 2020 NFL Draft. To have the ability to put some of his skills on display (even if it is with limitations), Tua can quiet some of the fears that teams may have surrounding his durability.

In recent weeks, rumors have begun to leak that the Miami Dolphins, the original contributors of the Tank for Tua campaign, may not be as high on him anymore. At the combine, Tagovailoa apparently felt put off by the team, leading some to believe they may be a bit higher on Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert.
It is smokescreen season as teams try to drive the price up on their picks and down on certain prospects, so it is hard to tell what is truth and what is a facade. However, for Tua to have the ability to prove that his hip is not holding back his future projection could help solidify his stock as the second quarterback off the board this April.
Look out world, Tua Tagovailoa is back and ready to hit the ground running. Will he be able to stay healthy throughout the grueling process of an NFL career? Only time will tell. However, the Alabama superstar is ready to prove that the risk of selecting him is low.
