Round 3, Pick 76: Cam Akers |RB| Florida State

With the 76th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select, Cam Akers, running back, Florida State.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers gonna select a Florida guy and have him play in front of his Florida fans. The Bucs former RB Peyton Barber is a free agency this offseason and with the reports, I have read that they are not gonna bring him back. The Bucs also drafted Ronald Jones was drafted in the second round in 2018. Jones has not played up to the hype thus far. I could see the Bucs bring in a running back to compete with him that is a better pass protector than RoJo.

More from With the First Pick

The one thing that I think he could work on that will set his game up to the next level is he needs to work on his blitz pick up. He lacks awareness when picking up a blitz. I like everything Akers just besides his blitz pick up, which to me is the most important thing right now with Tom Brady being the quarterback for the Buccaneers.

Round 4, Pick 117: Anthony Gordon |QB| Washington State

With the 117th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select, Anthony Gordon, quarterback, Washington State.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed Tom Brady this offseason, which means that they do not really need to draft a quarterback super high now. They can wait a bit longer and draft a quarterback that can sit behind Tom Brady and watch, learn, and pick apart Brady’s football mind. Gordon is what Bruce Arians wants in a quarterback, an air raid quarterback.

I think Anthony Gordon fits exactly what the Buccaneers are looking for in a quarterback and the best part about the whole thing is that he can sit behind Tom Brady than when his time is up, they can pick Gordon in there and see what the young gunslinger can do in this air raid offense. I think this is a player that is way higher up on the Bucs board than us draft analyst’s which I could definitely see the Bucs reaching for Anthony Gordon in the 4th round.

Round 4, Pick 139: Benito Jones |IDL| Ole Miss

With the 139th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select, Benito Jones, interior defensive lineman, Ole Miss.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a bit of interior defensive lineman problem if Ndamukong Suh does not re-sign with the Bucs. If he does then his pick is for strictly developmental that could take Suh’s spot when he either leaves or retires.

Benito Jones is a 320 pounder but what I like about him is that he does not move like a 320 pounder. Jones’ legs are like feathers when he moves, so smooth. Jones is a run defender that has a really good and useful swim move that could make him a bit of a problem when it comes to rushing the quarterback. If Jones can master that swim and find a good counter move than he could be a very good interior defensive lineman for a very long time.
