Pick Analysis. Jameis Winston. 3. 47. Scouting Report. QB. . player

It has been a wild ride for both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and former 2015 first overall pick Jameis Winston over the last five years. Their time together officially came to a close after the Buccaneers made the signing of the offseason by prying possibly the greatest quarterback of all-time away from the New England Patriots in Tom Brady.

Unfortunately for Winston, one of two quarterbacks to land on this list, his potential landing spots are drying up quickly. Would Winston swallow his pride and sign somewhere like the Pittsburgh Steelers as a backup to a highly fragile and aging quarterback? That seems highly unlikely given that the former Heisman Trophy Winner is coming off of a season with over 5,300 passing yards and 33 touchdowns.

That really narrows Winston’s options down to three landing spots after the Chicago Bears made a deal for Nick Foles. His first option is to stay in the state of Florida and compete with Gardner Minshew with the Jacksonville Jaguars, or he could fly out west and compete with Tyrod Taylor for the starting job in Los Angeles with the Chargers.

However, it appears the Jaguars are going full #TankforTrevor, and the Chargers look poised to use their first round pick on a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. This leaves Winston’s best option to land with the Patriots as they look to replace the GOAT in Brady; besides, Winston is only 26 years old, so if Bill Belichick can tap into his hidden potential, then Winston and the Pats could be back in business.
